Before adding any ASL package, ensure Veritas Volume Manager is installed and enabled:

# vxdctl mode
mode: enabled

To install the package:

# rpm -ivh VRTSFJTSYe8k-1.0-1.0_RHEL4.i686.rpm

Loading The Library

After the package is installed, you must run the vxdctl enable command to claim the disk array as an ETERNUS4000/8000 array:

# vxdctl enable

After running vxdctl enable, you should see libvxFJTSYe8k.so in the output of the vxddladm listsupport command:

# vxddladm listsupport libname=libvxFJTSYe8k.so
