Problem
The error below can occur when performing any of the following actions:
1. In the Vault Admin Console (VAC) choosing: Archives | ArchiveName | Properties | Permissions | Add | DomainName is selected
2. In the VAC choosing Sites | Targets | Exchange | Domain | Provisioning Group. Properties of a group | Targets tab | Add | Windows User | Add Users dialog box
3. In the VAC choosing: Archives | ArchiveName | Properties | General Tab click on Bill Usage To eclipse button to browse the domain
4. In the VAC choosing: Provisioning Group | Attempting to add a windows user to a Provisioning Group | Selecting a domain name from the drop-down list (multiple domain Active Directory environment).
Error
Unable to list accounts in <DomainName>
Cause
The error appears because Enterprise Vault uses the win32 api function call NetGetAnyDCName instead of DsGetAnyDCName which can be confirmed by analyzing the network trace captured on the Enterprise Vault server. An Unknown error 0x0000054b should appear during the NetGetAnyDCName response. (Figure 2)
