Problem

What issues does this hotfix resolve?
When attempting to archive a
file system containing a large number of items e.g. several million items the
FSA Archiving task process fails with 'out of memory error'. During the
archiving run, monitoring the FSA Archiving task process shows the process
handle count to continually increase.
Reason:
A memory leak has been
identified in the underlying Storage component EVStgAPI code that processes File
based savesets which has now been fixed by this hotfix.

How to install this hotfix
These instructions are intended
for installing this hotfix on a Enterprise Vault 7.0 SP1 Server system. This fix
does not need to be installed on the file server being archived, only the
Enterprise Vault server.
1.Backup original copies of the
above file on the Enterprise Vault 7.0 SP1 server system.
2.Stop all the Enterprise Vault
services.
3.Replace and/or copy the above
file in the Enterprise Vault installation directory.
4.Restart the Enterprise Vault
services
How to uninstall this hotfix
Copy the files from the safe
location back to their original location. These files will be copied over the
hotfix files.

part of the following release:
