This document describes the Enterprise Vault™ 2007
Domino Mailbox Archiving Cumulative Hotfix.
This Hotfix is
mandatory for Domino Mailbox Archiving using Enterprise Vault 2007.
Issues addressed in this Hotfix
- S/MIME
encrypted messages were corrupted when archived. S/MIME items are now not
archived. [Ref 1077375]
- Selecting
multiple archived items and choosing to delete or restore them resulted in only
one item being deleted or restored. This affected both the Notes and DWA
clients. [Ref 1025102, 1026101, 1027456, 1027477]
- It
was possible for a server group to be assigned permissions on an archive. [Ref
1070739]
- If
the Enable Mailbox wizard was used to enable a user on an Enterprise Vault
server that was different from the one specified in the provisioning group, it
was not possible to archive from that user's mailbox. [Ref 1074808]
- Temporary
databases on the Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway were being created in the wrong
folder. [Ref 1073177]
- Using
the Notes client to restore archived items to a local mail replica caused the
Notes client to stop responding. [Ref 1077385]
- If
an error occurred while attempting to restore an item, it was possible for
Domino Server on the Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway server to stop responding.
[Ref 1076719]
- A
memory leak made the nHTTP process run out of memory after reading approximately
10,000 items from DWA. [Ref 1075994]
- It
was not possible to open more than nine attachments to an archived item that
contained links to more than nine attachments. [Ref 1077589]
- If
the Domino server had a non-ASCII character in its name or Organization name,
Domino groups could not be synchronized from the mail file to the archive. [Ref
1080309]
- It
was not possible for users whose user names contained non-ASCII characters to
log in to the Domino Browser Search. [Ref 1076684]
- It
was not possible to use Domino Browser Search to restore items to a Domino mail
file that had non-ASCII characters in its file name. [Ref 1079166]
- Users
who were granted access to archives through their Domino groups membership could
not be authenticated by the Web Access application if the group name contained a
non-ASCII character. [Ref 1083022]
- Users
whose Domino account names contained non-ASCII characters could not be correctly
provisioned. [Ref 1083154]
- When
a mail server was using Domino 6.5.6, if a user with administrative access to
another user's mail file attempted to open a shortcut in that other mail file,
Domino Server on the Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway server could stop
responding. [Ref 1083197]
- Attempting
to restore an unarchived item produced an error message that was always in
English, even on non-English systems. [Ref 1076466]
- When
a DWA user selected both archived and unarchived items and them attempted to
restore them, the archived items were not restored and the user received an
error message in English, even on non-English systems. [Ref 1075972]
- On
Japanese systems an English error message was displayed if the user attempted to
restore an item that had not been archived. [Ref 1059291]
- In
some languages the Notes client could show duplications of the Enterprise Vault
menu options. [Ref 1071437]
- Spurious
'File already exists' errors in the Enterprise Vault Domino console. [Ref
1073035]
- On
systems that had the Enterprise Vault Domino Gateway server and the Domino mail
server on the same computer, an invalid path name was used when restoring to a
temporary database. Note that this configuration is suitable only for
demonstration and is not supported in a production environment. [Ref 1083193]
Other Known IssuesThese
issues are in addition to those noted in the Symantec Enterprise Vault 2007
ReadMeFirst document, the latest version of which can be found online
at
http://entsupport.symantec.com/docs/288394
- S/MIME
items are not archived
- A
limitation of Single Sign-On means that the DNS domain name of the Enterprise
Vault Domino Gateway server must be the same as the DNS domain name of all
Enterprise Vault servers. If the domain names are different, users cannot
log on to the Enterprise Vault Domino search
applications.
