To which versions of Symantec Enterprise Vault (tm) can this hotfix be applied?

This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Enterprise Vault for:
Enterprise Vault Compliance Accelerator 6.0 SP1, Build 3227


What issue does this hotfix resolve?

From the Compliance Accelerator homepage, access Search schedules and click any individual schedule to view the schedule. The Schedule Details page takes a long time to load, and when it eventually loads it shows an OutOfMemory exception.


Which files does this hotfix replace?

AcceleratorSearch.dll
AcceleratorWebBO.dll
ComplianceWeb.dll
usp_Search_uses_Schedule.sql


How to install this hotfix:

1. Stop the Enterprise Vault Compliance Accelerator Service.

2. Restart IIS, or alternatively recycle the IIS Manager Application Pool used by the main Compliance Web Application (typically EVBACompliance)

3. Make a copy of the usp_Search_uses_Schedule.sql file and store in a safe location.

4. In the Compliance Accelerator directory, take a copy of these existing files and store in a safe place:

..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\ComplianceWeb\Bin\ComplianceWeb.dll
..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\ComplianceWeb\Bin\AcceleratorWebBO.dll
..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\ComplianceWeb\Bin\AcceleratorSearch.dll
..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\AcceleratorWebBO.dll
..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\AcceleratorSearch.dll

IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not rename these files and store them in the original directory. They must be copied elsewhere.

5. In the Compliance Accelerator directory, replace the files listed in step 3 with these files included in this hotfix:

ComplianceWeb.dll
AcceleratorWebBO.dll
AcceleratorSearch.dll

Note: AcceleratorWebBO.dll and AcceleratorSearch.dll have to be copied into two locations.

6. Open the ETrack817868.sql file in the SQL Query Analyzer and select the Compliance Customer database.

7. Execute the query by clicking Execute on the Query menu.

Note: Since it is possible for more than one Compliance Customer database to exist, the above steps should be completed for each Customer database.

8. Start the Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager service.


How to uninstall this hotfix:

1. Stop the Enterprise Vault Compliance Accelerator Service.

2. Restart IIS, or alternatively recycle the IIS Manager Application Pool used by the main Compliance Web Application (typically EVBACompliance)

3. Copy the usp_Search_uses_Schedule.sql file from the safe location into the original file location.

4. In the Compliance Accelerator directory, copy the following files from the safe location into the original location.

..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\ComplianceWeb\Bin\ComplianceWeb.dll
..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\ComplianceWeb\Bin\AcceleratorWebBO.dll
..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\ComplianceWeb\Bin\AcceleratorSearch.dll
..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\AcceleratorWebBO.dll
..\Business Accelerator - Compliance\AcceleratorSearch.dll

5. Start the Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager service.
