Hotfix for Symantec Enterprise Vault File System Archiving 2007, Build 1250, OEM Branded NetApps are not detected.

Solution

Which versions of Symantec Enterprise Vault (tm) can this hotfix be applied?
This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Enterprise Vault for:
Enterprise Vault File System Archiving 2007, Build 1250

What issue does this hotfix resolve?

OEM Branded NetApps are not detected. When a new volume is added on the NetApp device, the GetFilerVersion() method is invoked and it retrieves the complete version string : "NetApp Release 7.2.3X3: Sat Jun 9 05:16:48 PDT 2007"

Currently the method searches for the string "NetApp Release " in complete version string and replaces it with "" (i.e. null) Next it will extract the version 7.2 from the resultant string.

The above method fails with the error below when the returned string is something like "Data Ontap Release 7.2.3X3: Sat Jun 9 05:16:48 PDT 2007 (IBM)" because it does not contain "NetApp Release " string.

Could not detect the Data ONTAP version for the file server.
