Error E7D10041: Unable to establish a network connection to \\ SERVERNAME

Solution

This error occurs when selecting a storage destination in Backup Exec System Recovery Manager.
Resolution:
To resolve this issue, perform the following troubleshooting steps:
1. Try to access the Windows share through Windows Explorer. If the share is not accessible, ensure that the permissions are configured properly.
2. Uncheck the option to share the folder that BESR sees as a storage location.
3. Rename the directory.
4. Create a new directory and then share it granting the necessary permissions.
5. Launch BESR and recreate the backup.
6. Move the existing recovery points into a new folder from the folder that has been renamed in step 3.
7. Verify if the name resolution works: Use the Fully Qualified Domain Name (FQDN) or the IP address.
