Problem
An error "Faulting module VProShellExt.dll, version_number" occurs while viewing Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) 6.5 properties of a GPT partition.
Solution
A solution is now available from Technical Support which will allow BESR 6.5 to ignore GPT partitions, and allow the user to see the Windows properties of the volume though BESR will not be able to create a Recovery point image to or restore one to such volume.
To obtain a fix for this issue or contact Symantec Technical Support and request BESRSystemRecovery654Hotfix2.zip
Applying the patch:
(1) Stop the BESR service in windows services.
(2) Unzip the VproShellExt.dll from within BESRSystemRecovery654Hotfix2.zip file.
(3) Locate and replace the VproShellExt.dll with the one you unzipped from step 2
(4) Restart the BESR service in windows services.
