Problem
Backup Exec System Recovery 7.0 fails to create images or recovery points of the volumes larger than 2 TB
Solution
Currently,
Backup Exec System Recovery 7.0 does not support imaging of the volumes larger
than 2 TB. It displays the following behavior when creating an image or recovery
point of a volume larger than 2 TB:
- Stops responding during the imaging process.
- Displays an error stating that it is unable to connect to the service.
- Fails to image a drive smaller than 2 TB on the same computer.
Note:
Symantec Backup Exec System Recovery 6.5 and LiveState Recovery 6.0 Service Pack
2 include a fix to ignore the volumes larger than 2 TB. This allows imaging of
the other volumes on the computer to complete normally.
