"Error EC95001D at 64%" occurs when creating a custom Symantec Recovery Disk (SRD)

Solution

This error has been seen when the version/build of the installed product does not match the version/build of the Recovery Disk being used to create the custom SRD. For example, when using a 7.0.0 SRD to create a custom Recovery Disk while 7.0.1 is the installed base product. At 64% of the creation process, the creation will fail and generate the EC95001D error. Replacing the base SRD with the 7.0.1 version (thus matching the installed product version and build) will allow creation of the custom SRD to complete successfully.

Please Contact Symantec Technical Support to obtain a different version/build of the Symantec Recovery Disk if one is not readily available.
