Problem
Symantec LiveState Recovery stops deleting old images as new images are created
Solution
Issue:
Scheduled
backup jobs stop deleting old images as new images are created, causing the
backup location to run out of storage space.
Cause:
This issue has
been known to occur when certain configuration changes are made to a system on
which LiveState Recovery is running. For example, if the drive letter of the
volume on which backup images are stored is changed, this issue may
occur.
Solution:
This problem
occurs when certain configuration changes are made to a system running Symantec
LiveState Recovery. To fix this problem, old image files, backup job files, and
history files must be deleted.
To delete
old image files, backup job files, and history files
1.
Stop the Symantec LiveState Recovery service.
2.
Delete old image files.
3.
Delete all backup job files and history files from the \Schedule and \History
folders.
4.
Restart the Symantec LiveState Recovery service.
5.
Re-create the backup job.
