Problem
Does Symantec LiveState Recovery 3.0 and 6.0, or Backup Exec System Recovery 6.5 and 7.0 support Windows GPT partitions?
Solution
Windows GPT partitions are not supported by LiveState
Recovery 3.0 and 6.0, or by Backup Exec System Recovery 6.5 and 7.0. Only
MBR based partitions are supported and GPT partitions are hidden in the Backup
Exec System Recovery Console drive list for these versions. While a GPT
partition can be used as the backup destination, they cannot be backed up using
the above versions of the software.
Backup Exec System Recovery 8.0 or higher is required to backup GPT partitions.
Backup Exec System Recovery 8.0 or higher is required to backup GPT partitions.
