BESR 8.5 supports Citrix Xen App 4.5 and Citrix XenServer 4.1.  VHD and VMDK files created by BESR must be imported to a full VM before they are converted to XenServer (SVA) format.  Recovery points (v2i/iv2i) can be restored directly to a XenServer VM using the recovery disk. BESR fully supports protecting Windows systems running in a XenServer VM.  Versions previous to BESR 8.5  (LSR 3 &6, and BESR 6.5, 7, 8) have not been tested on Citrix and Symantec does not support this OS. This applies to all versions of Citrix Metaframe. Previous versions of LSR/BESR might work on Citrix, however Symantec does not provide support should any issues arise.

 

System Recovery does not support Linux virtual machines running on XenServer hosts at this time.
