This hotfix can only be applied to the following version of Enterprise Vault:
Enterprise Vault Compliance Accelerator 7.0 SP3, Build 5030


What issue does this hotfix resolve?
Journal Connector Filter intermittently crashes the journal task to halt processing.  The following error is reported in the Application log of the Enterprise Vault server running the Journal Task with the Journal Connector installed.

Which file does this hotfix replace?

KVS.Accelerator.Sampling.dll


How to install this hotfix:

1.  From the Compliance Accelerator installation folder, typically C:\Program files\Enterprise Vault, copy the KVS.Accelerator.Sampling.dll file to a safe location.

2. Stop all Enterprise Vault Journal Tasks and Domino Journal Tasks for the Enterprise Vault Administration Console and stop the Compliance Accelerator Service from the Services control Snap-in.

3. Back up the Compliance Accelerator Customer and Configuration databases before applying the hotfix.

4. Replace KVS.Accelerator.Sampling.dll with the updated version provided in the hotfix file in the Enterprise Vault installation directory on all computers running a Journal Task or Domino Journal Task.

5. Replace KVS.Accelerator.Sampling.dll with the updated version provided in the hotfix file in the Compliance Accelerator installation directory, typically C:\Program files\Business Accelerator - Compliance, on computers running Compliance Accelerator.

6. Start "Compliance Accelerator Service" from the Services control Snap-in, start the Enterprise Vault Journal tasks.


How to uninstall this hotfix:

1. Stop all Enterprise Vault Journal Tasks and Domino Journal Tasks for the Enterprise Vault Administration Console and stop the Compliance Accelerator Service from the Services control Snap-in.

2. Replace the KVS.Accelerator.Sampling.dll in steps 4 and 5 above with the original file.

3. Start "Compliance Accelerator Service" from the Services control Snap-in, start the Enterprise Vault Journal tasks.
