To which versions of Symantec Enterprise Vault (tm) can this hotfix be applied?

This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Enterprise Vault:
Enterprise Vault 2007 SP2 revision 1862


What issue does this hotfix resolve?
If a Sharepoint archiving task was configured to log on with an account other than the Vault Service Account, it would not archive successfully.  DTrace logging of EvSharePointArchiveTask would reveal something similar to:

{SharePointSiteWalker.CreateArchiveFolder} Exception: Retrieving the COM class factory for component with CLSID {C4C511AF-BA16-4518-9D27-02726E42DC25} failed due to the following error: 80070005.

\Program Files\Enterprise Vault\KVS.EnterpriseVault.Common.dll


How to install this hotfix

1. Stop all the Enterprise Vault services on the Vault Server.

2. Take a copy of the file updated in this hotfix and copy to a safe location.

3. Overwrite the file with the updated file from this hotfix.

4. Restart the Enterprise Vault services.


How to uninstall the hotfix:

1. Stop all the Enterprise Vault services on the Vault Server.

2. Copy the original version of the updated file back from the safe location.

3. Restart the Enterprise Vault services.
