Below is information on where the Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) product can be obtained and what files are needed:
 

 
WHERE:
 

 
Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) product can be downloaded/obtain from the following locations
 
- File Connect website  https://fileconnect.symantec.com
 

 
These sites will offer one or both FTP or HTTPS methods to obtain the selected product files; be sure to have the default ports associated by these protocols available and non-restricted at the time of download from the system attempting the download.
 

 
WHAT:
 

 
There are two files that makes up the base package for BESR 8.0x:
 

 
- BESR8##_AllWin_Multilingual_Prod.zip
 
- BESR8##_AllWin_English_SrdOnly.zip
 

 
There are two files that makes up the base package for BESR 2010:
 

 
- BESR_2010_9.#.#.#####_Multilingual_Product.zip
 
-  BESR_2010_9.#.#.#####_English_Recovery_Disk_Only.zip
 
 
There are two files that makes up the base package for SSR 2011:
 

 
- SSR_2011_10.#.#.#####_Multilingual_Product.zip 
 
-  SSR_2011_10.#.#.#####_English_Recovery_Disk_Only.zip

The file that ends with Multilingual_Prod.zip or Multilingual_Product.zip file contains the installation and documentation for the BESR software
 
The file that ends with SrdOnly.zip or Recovery_Disk_Only.zip file contains the .ISO image for the Symantec Recovery Disk.  This disk is what is booted from in case a system restore is needed.
