Best Practice: Upgrading Backup Exec System Recovery 6.02 to Backup Exec System Recovery 8
Solution
Attempting to install Backup Exec System Recovery 8 (BESR 8) without uninstalling Backup Exec System Recovery 6.02 (BESR 6.02) will cause the installation to fail.
Best Practice:
1. Uninstall BESR 6.02 from Add/Remove Programs
2. When prompted to save the backup jobs and history select No
3. Restart the computer
4. Install BESR 8
