Solution
This TechFile provides information about Array Support
Library (ASL) and Array Policy Module (APM) for IBM SAN Volume Controller (2145)
on Veritas Volume Manager for Solaris 5.0 and later.
For general information about ASLs, refer to TechNote 249446 (link in the Related Documents section of this TechFile)
Supported versions of Veritas Volume Manager: 5.0
Supported Arrays: IBM SAN Volume Controller 2145 (A/A-A)
At the bottom of this TechFile, click on Download Now to download the ASL/APM package.

downloading VRTSIBMsvc_SunOS_sparc_5.0_v1_301992.tar.Z, extract the
file:

Before adding any ASL/APM package, make sure VERITAS Volume Manager is installed and enabled (the vxdctl mode command should return "enabled"):
# vxdctl mode
mode: enabled
Array Policy Module
Package Name: VRTSIBMsvcapm (Veritas Array Policy Module for IBM SVC.)
Package Version: 1.0,REV=11.22.2007.23.18
To install the package, type:
# pkgadd -d . VRTSIBMsvcapm
After the package is installed, you must run the vxdctl enable command to claim the disk array as a IBM SANVC:
# vxdctl enable
After running the vxdctl enable command, you should see dmpsvc info in the output of the vxdmpadm listapm command:
#vxdmpadm listapm dmpsvc
