When backing up Oracle 8.1.7, the following error is received: V-79-57344-33928 - Access is denied. Access is denied to directory . Access is denied to Remote Agent. Check the login account for the specified device.

The Backup Exec Oracle Agent does not connect to Oracle instances, and the error "ORA-12640" or "ret_val=12640" or "ORA-12638" or "ret_val='12638" is returned in the Oracle Agent debug log.
