Problem
When using certain Excel Macros while incremental Backup Exec Desktop and Laptop Option (DLO) backups are being performed, Excel appears to be hung.
Solution
The
Microsoft DDE function and the DLO incremental PST MAPI backups are conflicting,
and causing Excel to appear hung when a macro is run from within
Excel.
Possible
workarounds:
- The Backup Exec agent can be refreshed so that Excel can continue.
- DLO can be exited and then re-launched after the macro is run.
- Incremental backups of PST files can be turned off in the DLO Profile.
Resolution:
This issue
has now been fixed by way of a hotfix. Please refer the Related Documents
