Issue

The restore selections in Backup Exec reflect a "0 KB" size for Exchange backup sets even when the backup has completed successfully.

Solution

The restore selections in Backup Exec display "0 KB" for the Exchange Information Store backup sets even when the backups have completed successfully. (Figure 1)

This is purely a display issue for the restore view of the Exchange backup sets. As long as the backup job has completed successfully with no errors or exceptions the backup set(s) are valid. The size of the sets can be viewed in the job logs or in a report.
