Problem
Stop code 0x0000007b occurs after performing a Restore AnyWare retargeting restore to a system with an AHCI SATA storage controller.
Solution
Solution 1:
Prior to booting with the Symantec Recovery Disk (SRD) to perform the Restore AnyWare restore, go in the system's BIOS and under the section, 'Drives and SATA Operation', change from its current setting to ATA Compatibility Mode. Be sure to change this back when system has been restored and booted.
Solution 2:
Load AHCI drivers from the Load a driver menu in the SRD
Solution 3:
Add the AHCI and SATA drivers to a Custom SRD and boot the
system with the Custom SRD.
