Problem
Backup of Data partition presented this error. Could not Create a shadow copy either.
Error
Device \\.\SymantecSnapshot1 cannot be opened. Error 0000045D: The request could not be performed because of an I/O device error.
Solution
Run 'Chkdsk /r' on source disk.
