Issue

When using the license key to unlock the Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) locally rather than in the BESR Manager, the product accepts the license for the moment, but afterwards it returns to being unlicensed.

Solution

This only applies when the Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) client machine is being managed by Backup Exec System Recovery Manager (BESRM). If management control has been installed on the client machine, then the machine is being managed by that product and all licensing information for the client needs to be provided via BESRM. In order to provide the licensing information locally to the installation of Backup Exec System Recovery, you first need to uninstall Backup Exec System Recovery Manager's management control.
