After downloading VRTSHDS-DF600_DF800-asl_305201.tar.gz, uncompress the file:

Before adding the ASL package, ensure Veritas Volume Manager is installed and enabled:

# vxdctl mode
mode: enabled

ASL Installation: To install the package:

# pkgadd -d . VRTSHDS-DF600-asl

The following packages are available:
1  VRTSHDS-DF600-asl     Array Support Library for HITACHI DF600(9500 and AMS-WMS) Arrays.
                         (sparc) 1.4,REV=09.13.2007.16.41

After the package is installed, check Package Information status
