Problem
Tape based backup of Information Store database for Exchange 2007 running on a Windows 2008 server with Granular Recovery Technology (GRT) feature enabled fails with "Access Denied" when Information Store is preceded by other resources on the same server in the backup job.
Error
Backup- \\Exchange2007\Microsoft Information Store\First Storage Group - Access Denied. Cannot backup directory ?Mailbox Database and its subdirectories.

Solution
To resolve the issue edit the backup selection list such that the Microsoft Information Store is the first resource to be backed up followed by the other resources on the server
