The Network Name shows the internal ID instead of the name when provisioning a new server in Veritas Provisioning Manager (VPM) 5.0 MP1

Solution

Enclosed patch resolves the following issue:
The Network Name shows the internal ID instead of the name when provisioning a new server in Veritas Provisioning Manager (VPM) 5.0 MP1

Note: OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687 can be applied independently on top of VPM5.0 MP1. Applying OpForce5.0MP1+p1315616 after OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687 would revert back some changes made by OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687. Hence OpForce5.0MP1+p1315616 should applied before applying OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687 (if both the patches are planned to be applied).

Rollback Possible: Yes

Rollback Procedure:
1. Replace opforce.war with
opforce.war-Pre-OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687 under
<PRODUCT_DIR>/tomcat/webapps

Description:

Patch Installation Instructions:

To apply this patch on an OpForce server:

If this patch has been applied once already, backup the
 opforce.war-Pre-OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687 files already
present on the system and use them to rollback the patch, if needed.

Note: Multiple runs of patch without backing up the file opforce.war-Pre-OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687
will result in overwriting of the original pre-patch .war file and hence render any further
 rollbacks ineffective.

Unix
 1. Create a patch directory, and extract:
      OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687.tar
 2. Change directory to the patch directory.
 3. Run ./setup.sh

Note:
It is expected the permissions are fine for execution after extraction

Windows
 1. Create a directory for patch extraction and extract:
      OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687.tar
 2. Change directory to the patch directory.
 3. Run installpatch.bat
Note: User may need to open and verify the batch file if,
it is ftp-ed across Unix/Windows platforms.

 2. Delete opforce.war
 3. And rename:
      opforce.war-Pre-OpForce5.0MP1+p1372687 to opforce.war
 4. Bounce (Stop and then Start) elemental service
