Summary
This hotfix contains a recommended fix for the Backup Exec Exchange agent, Backup Exec Active Directory agent, and Backup Exec Enterprise Vault agent.

Prerequisites
- Before installing this hotfix, Service Pack 1 must be installed.  Service Pack 1 can be obtained here:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH59684
- Administrative privileges are required to install this hotfix.

Post requisites
- Remote Agent for Windows Servers will need to be updated after installing this hotfix.

Issue(s) resolved
- Exchange Information Store backups that are using Granular Restore Technology (GRT) and are targeted to a Backup To Disk folder fail with the errors: "The Directory was not found, or could not be accessed." and "The Database was not found, or could not be accessed." - If Microsoft Outlook 2007 is installed on a Windows 2008 server running Exchange 2007, the backups/restores will fail
- The Backup Exec Remote agent may crash during an Incremental backup of Exchange  (For more details, please refer to this document:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH61180 )
- A Microsoft Exchange Public Folder restore from a Granular Recovery Technology (GRT) Information Store backup set completes successfully with exceptions and fails to restore the attachments. (For more details, please refer to this document:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH62428 )
- When trying to browse the Enterprise Vault database under the EV agent an error may occur stating "An error was encountered while attempting to browse the contents of Directory DB (SQL_SERVER_NAME\NAME_OF_DB) the device cannot be found."  (For more details, please refer to this document:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH84753 )
- Backing up Windows 2008 x64 Active Directory fails with "Access Denied.  Cannot backup directory  and its subdirectories"  (For more details, please refer to this document:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH62659 )
- Backing up Active Directory with GRT enabled can cause a job to sit in Updating Catalogs for a long time before the backup job completes (For more details, please refer to this document:  http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH62350 )
