Problem
Backup Exec System Recovery backup hangs at 1 or 2 percent
Solution
At 1 or 2 percent Backup Exec System Recovery is attempting to communicate with the backup destination so that it can create the BESR image file. If the backup job hangs at this point, it may be an issue on the Backup Destination. If the backup destination is another Windows Server check the application event logs to find any errors.
Make sure that Windows is not creating shadow copies of the drive the BESR images are stored on. As much as possible try to avoid having multiple backup jobs running to the same destination at the same time, as to not overload the destination.
