The License Assessment Tool contains an incorrect report for LEO, causing it to display incorrect information.


Symantec Backup Exec licensing for multi-drive tape libraries is based on a per drive basis with the first drive in the library or VTL being included in the Backup Exec Server license. For example, a 2 drive tape library or VTL would allow for the 1st drive at no additional charge, while the one remaining drive would require a Library Expansion Option (LEO) license.

Even when 1 LEO license is correctly being used, the BELAT will report that an additional license is needed as shown in Figure 1.
