Problem
Unable to delete the LVM snapshot on RHEL5 U2 64bit and RHEL4.0 32bit system after successful backup using RALUS.
Error
This issue has been seen on RHEL5 64 bit and RHEL4.0 32bit. While deleting the snapshot gets error "Cant remove open logical volume".
Cause
Environmental issues causing the RALUS to lock the snapshot.
Solution
Workaround:
1. Stop the RALUS Agent
/etc/init.d/VRTSralus stop
2.Delete the snapshot.
3.Start the RALUS agent
/etc/init.d/VRTSralus start

2.Delete the snapshot.
3.Start the RALUS agent
/etc/init.d/VRTSralus start
