Enterprise Vault Operations Manager configuration returns error "This server has not been configured. Please run the Enterprise Vault Configuration Wizard before configuring Operations Manager." on a clustered Enterprise Vault server.

This server has not been configured. Please run the Enterprise Vault Configuration Wizard before configuring Operations Manager.

Solution

Overview:
When Enterprise Vault (EV) is installed on a cluster, the configuration of Operations Manager (EVOM) using its configuration wizard returns the error above. This issue is caused by the EVOM Configuration Wizard not properly detecting the Enterprise Vault server has been configured.

Workaround:

EVOM must be manually configured in a clustered installation.
