During boot, Windows NT Blue Screen occurs with exception 0xBAD40000 (0x00000000, 0x00000007, 0x00000007, 0x00000139)

Error

STOP: 0xBAD4000 (0x00000000, 0x00000007, 0x00000007, 0x00000139)

Solution

This Blue Screen will occur if there are conflicting node IDs on two or more systems in the same cluster.

To correct this problem, verify that each node in the cluster has an identical LLTHOSTS.TXT file.

A common LLTHOSTS.TXT file, located in C:\Program Files\Veritas\comms\llt, will resemble this format:

# This is a program generated file, please do not edit.
0 VCS01N01
1 VCS01N02
2 VCS01N03

Refer to Technotes 195860 and 230681 for further troubleshooting of GAB STOP errors.
