Notes:
1. Before installing this ASL package, please remove any external ASL packages that are installed on this system for SUN 2540, SUN 6130, SUN 6140, SUN 6540, STK 6540 and Flexline 200/300 series. Please refer to the following example to remove VRTSSTK2540 and VRTSSTKasl:
# pkginfo | egrep "VRTSST2540|VRTSSTKasl" | awk '{ print $2 }'
Then use "pkgrm" to remove the above packages
2. If MPxIO is enabled, devices under MPxIO will be claimed as Active/Active (A/A) by the ASL.

ASL Installation Instructions:
Before adding any ASL package, ensure Veritas Volume Manager is installed and enabled
# vxdctl mode
mode: enabled

1. Create a directory to download the ASL-APM package
# mkdir /tmp/asl-apm
# cd /tmp/asl-apm

2. At the bottom of this TechFile, click on Download Now to download the ASL package

3. After downloading VRTSLSI-MultiVID_5.0_asl_apm_solx64-2.10_314169.tar.Z, verify the cksum of the file
# cksum VRTSLSI-MultiVID_5.0_asl_apm_solx64-2.10_314169.tar.Z
4220221804      42825   VRTSLSI-MultiVID_5.0_asl_apm_solx64-2.10_314169.tar.Z

4. Uncompress the file
# zcat VRTSLSI-MultiVID_5.0_asl_apm_solx64-2.10_314169.tar.Z | tar xvf -

5. Install the ASL using pkgadd
# pkgadd -d . VRTSLSIasl

6. Install the APM using pkgadd
# pkgadd -d . VRTSLSIapm
