Solution

Note: Before continuing to backup the Hyper-V Host server's System State, Shadow Copy Components, and local drives, backup the Virtual Machines with the Backup Exec Remote Agent (RAWS).  See the related Documents section on how to install the Backup Exec Remote Agent (RAWS) on each virtual machine.

NOTE:
All customers are encouraged to update the Hyper-V host to Windows 2008 Service Pack 2.

Apply Windows 2008 Service Pack 2 to the Hyper-V host.  Update the Virtual Machine guests with the latest Integration Components after applying Windows 2008 SP2.

NOTE:
Guest machines running Windows 2008 Service Pack 1 can also cause this error. Upgrading them to Service Pack 2 may resolve the issue.
