Problem
When performing a redirect restore of a VMware guest OS, specified network may not be attached to the guest
Solution
When performing a redirect restore of a VMware guest OS, specified network may not be attached to the guest. This issue would occur when selecting the first item in the network list. (Figure 1)
If the "None" item which is not the first item (the second item in Figure 1) is selected for a restore job, the restore job would fail with "0xe0009568 - The restore job has failed. A network that is specified in the restore job is not available on the computer to which you want to restore. Run the job again as a redirected restore."

RESOLUTION
This issue has been resolved in Backup Exec for Windows Servers version 12.5 with HotFix 329867. See related documents.
