Problem
Storage Foundation 5.0 for Windows, Storage Foundation 5.0 High Availability, and Veritas Cluster Server 5.0 for Network Appliance Snapmirror terminates unexpectedly after clicking next on the license key page with no license keys entered.
Solution
Storage Foundation 5.0 for Windows (SFW), Storage
Foundation 5.0 High Availability (SFW HA), and Veritas Cluster
Server (VCS) 5.0 for Network Appliance Snapmirror all have built in
license keys for a 60 day evaluation period with a hard end date. In December
2008 those built in license keys expired and no longer can be used.
When next is clicked on the license key page without entering a valid license key, the installer will terminate unexpectedly with no error messages.
To avoid this issue, please enter your permanent license key or one of the following 60 day evaluation license keys:
SFW:
NEP9-POCO-PYTH-DK49-NOZP-N6
SFW HA:
NEPE-TCB9-VN42-H4LS-JM7C-PB
VCS for Network Appliance Snapmirror:
PZPE-SU7T-F7ZW-2VEP-NXPC
When next is clicked on the license key page without entering a valid license key, the installer will terminate unexpectedly with no error messages.
