Problem
How to send diagnostic logs to Symantec Technical Support by FTP using VXGather.
Solution
For sending diagnostic logs to Symantec Technical Support, the FTP option in the VXGather utility can be used.
Make sure the latest VXGather version is available for the FTP function to work. Run Live Update in Backup Exec (BE) to apply all updates. This will also update VXGather.
NOTE: After sending the logs to the FTP site, make sure to email Symantec Technical Support with a note listing what was uploaded so that the Technical Support Engineer can locate the data.
