How to install the Enterprise Vault (EV) Discovery Accelerator (DA) and Compliance Accelerator (CA) 8.0 Client for All Users
Solution
Overview:
When installing the Symantec Enterprise Vault (EV) Discovery Accelerator (DA) and Compliance Accelerator (CA) Client, the installation only affects the current user on the workstation.
Solution:
To install the DA or CA Client for all users on a workstation, install using the command line below.
1.Install using msiexec /i "<MSI location>" TARGETDIR="<target folder>" ALLUSERS=1
(Example msiexec /i "c:\Symantec Enterprise Vault Discovery Accelerator Client.msi" TARGETDIR="c:\Program Files" ALLUSERS=1)
2. Installation must be performed with an account that has local administrator privileges.
3. Installation must be performed at the machine level, not the user level.
