Error
Error 1314.The specified path\\\D$\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA is unavailable
Solution
While Running LiveUpdate in Backup Exec 12.5, the installation starts and rolls back. It fails with error "LU1812: A program that was part of this update failed when it ran. This update was not applied". If a manual installation of Backup Exec 12.5 Service Pack 1 is attempted, it fails with error
Error 1314.The specified path\\\D$\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.1\MSSQL\DATA is unavailable

ERROR:

Solution:
1.
Browse to X:\WINDOWS\Installer (where 'X' stands for the installation
drive for Windows)
Note:
If this file cannot be found,check if it is hidden in Tools-->Folder
Options-->View and uncheck "Hide protected operating system files
(Recommended)".It should be visible now.
2.
Search for BEInstParams.prm in the Installer folder
3.
Rename the BEInstParams.prm to BEInstParams.prm.old
4.
Run the LiveUpdate installation or manually install the patch again.
Note:
BEInstparams.prm is an encrypted file which stores the machine name,domain
name, user account, and password of the Backup Exec installation. Deletion
of the old BEInstParams.prm and re-running the installation regenerates the
BEInstparams.prm with the updated machine name and domain name.
