Issue

Database policy types (such as Oracle, MS-SQL-Server, DB2 and Lotus-Notes) are not available in the drop-down list while creating or changing a policy

Solution

NetBackup 6.0 for Microsoft SharePoint Portal Server 2003 System Administrator's Guide - Page 19 - Adding a New Policy
NetBackup 6.0 for Microsoft SQL Server System Administrator's Guide - Page 13 - Adding a New Policy

Symptoms:
While trying to set a policy to backup a database server such as Oracle, SQL, Exchange and others, there is no corresponding policy type in the drop-down list.

Resolution:
Some specific policy types (such as Oracle, SQL, Exchange, Lotus Notes, DB2 and other) do not appear in the drop-down list unless the Master Server has a license key applied for that feature. Use the NetBackup GUI to add the license key.
