Error



0xe0000f16 / V-79-57344-3862 - The operation failed to acquire the minimum number of drives and media needed.

V-79-57344-33028 - Error - Mount failed. Invalid Physical Volume Library Media Set Identifier.


Cause



1. This issue occurs when there is no media set selected in Job Properties | Device and Media settings.

    This is caused either by removing or renaming the media set associated with the existing backup job.

2. This error may also occur if the destination device is offline, but Backup Exec shows that the device is online (on Devices tab).

     Please restart the Backup Exec services to see if the device is online. If the Device is offline after the restart, Follow the article below:

Solution



1 : Open the backup job properties.

2 : Select Device and Media under Destination.

3 : Click on the drop down box for Media Set and select the appropriate media set.

4 : Save the changes and run the backup job.

5 : Make sure symantec drivers installed for tape drive and microsoft drivers for medium changer.
