Description:
 
When attempting to expand the Backup Selections of a Linux server that is known to have the Remote Agent for Linux and Unix Servers (RALUS) installed the above error is displayed.
 
Cause: If RALUS is installed on the Linux server, this error can occur if the RALUS daemon is in a stopped state.
 
Solution:
 
On the Linux Server perform the following: (Case Sensitive)
 
1. Type: cd /opt/VRTSralus/bin
 
2. Type: ./VRTSralus.init start
 
Check the Backup Selections on the Media Server for connectivity.
