ERROR V-338-1-2039 Could not get agent password

Solution



ERROR V-338-1-2039 is common for multiple back-end error conditions when adding a managed host to the management server.

Following are the possible messages which may appear for error code = V-338-1-2039

   1. Could not get agent password
   2. Invalid username or password for host
   3. Could not contact host
   4. Host is already part of the domain
   5. Could not push credential to host
   6. Could not determine Central Server (CS) hostname or IP
   7. Host configuration failed
   8. Managed host failed to communicate with Central Server
   9. Error: time skew check failed: The Managed Host's clock is not synchronized with the central server clock by more than a tolerant amount
   10. Registration with central server failed
   11. Reporting with central server failed
