Problem
When the 'Adjust Exchange quotas' setting is set in the PST Migration policy, the Microsoft (MS) Exchange quotas are not being adjusted.
Solution
When
performing PST Migrations, there is a setting in the PST Migration policy under
the Shortcut Creation tab to Adjust Exchange quotas. If the
MS Exchange Mailbox is set to Use mailbox database defaults, then
Exchange quotas will not be adjusted by default.
Solution
Modify the
setting to allow Enterprise Vault to adjust the quotas.
Exchange
2003
1. Open
Active Directory Users and Computers.
2. Locate
the user, right-click on the name and choose Properties.
3. Click
on the Exchange General tab.
4. Click
on Storage Limits...
5. Uncheck
Use mailbox database defaults.
Optionally,
the values for Issue warning at (KB), Prohibit Send at (KB) and
Prohibit send and receive at (KB) can be set manually.
Exchange
2007
1. Open
Exchange Management Console.
2. Expand
Recipient Configuration and click on Mailbox.
3. Locate
the user, right-click on the name and choose Properties.
3. Click
the Mailbox Settings tab.
4. Highlight
Storage Quotas and click Properties.
5. Uncheck
Use mailbox database defaults.
Optionally,
the values for Issue warning at (KB), Prohibit Send at (KB) and
Prohibit send and receive at (KB) can be set manually.
Once the
setting has been modified the Adjust Exchange quotas setting in the PST
Migration policy will take effect.
NOTE:
Exchange quotas may not be adjusted when the Vault Service account lacks
sufficient permissions. Refer to Technote 288150 listed below for further
information.
