Problem
Backup Exec Device Driver installation fails with error "A valid Symantec product installation cannot be found on this system. You must first install a Symantec product before you can install Symantec device drivers"
Error
A valid Symantec product installation cannot be found on this system. You must first install a Symantec product before you can install Symantec device drivers.
Environment
The error above occurs, even though Backup Exec is installed & functioning on the machine.
Solution
1. Run a Repair of the Backup Exec installation.
2. Reboot the machine.
3. Run the Device Driver installation again.

3. Run the Device Driver installation again.
