To which version of Symantec Storage Exec (tm) can this hotfix be applied?

    This hotfix can only be applied to the following versions of Storage Exec.
    Storage Exec 5.5 Build 2310

What issues does this hotfix resolve?
 
 
  • Storage Exec will not block the Microsoft Office 2007 files.
  • Unable to run drill down Active html reports with Internet Explorer versions 7.0.5730.13.
  • Possible memory leak if filescreenfilter.
  • Reports on a 500GB volume fail with the error message "Object failed to be scanned".
  • SEFSSvr.exe causes an access violation.
  • Previous Storage Exec 5.5. Hotfixes incorrectly change the Build number to 2214.
  • Incorrect email is sent when a file is blocked due to content
  • Active html reports are not displayed correctly when the output directory is a UNC path.

Notes:


1. This hotfix is cumulative and contains all fixes included in the previous hotfixes.
2. File blocking alarm messages will not be sent if the total number of characters exceed 1023.

How to install this hotfix:
 

1. Insure the Storage Exec administration console is closed.
2. Run SE2310RHF7_327124.exe
 

How to uninstall this hotfix.
 

This hotfix cannot be uninstalled without uninstalling Storage Exec 5.5.
