Which versions of Symantec Enterprise Vault (tm) can
this hotfix be applied?
This hotfix can only be applied to the following version of Discovery Accelerator:
Discovery Accelerator 8.0 Service Pack 2
What issue does this hotfix resolve?
In versions 8.0 Base, SP1 and SP2; Once a Scheduled search is created using custodians or targets, and the schedule is edited and saved the NativeQuery will change by prefixing the phrase with C: OR T: Once this happens, each part of the name (first, last) will be treated as a separate term resulting in false positives. The fix ensures custodian and targets are processed correctly.

How to install this hotfix:
Note: Microsoft Article 973544 must be installed before applying this hotfix.

1. Stop the "Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager" service.
2. Copy original AcceleratorwebBO.dll file to a safe place for backup.
3. Replace the following files with updated file.
...\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator
...\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\AcceleratorAdminWeb\bin
...\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\DiscoveryWeb\bin
...\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\CustodianManagerWeb\bin
4. Start the "Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager" service.
5. To prevent further iterations of a problem scheduled search returning false positives, modify the parent schedule and save.
How to uninstall this hotfix:
1. Stop the "Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager" service.
2. Locate copy of the original AcceleratorwebBO.dll file.
3. Replace the following files with the copy of the original file.
...\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator
...\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\AcceleratorAdminWeb\bin
...\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\DiscoveryWeb\bin
...\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\CustodianManagerWeb\bin
4. Start the "Enterprise Vault Accelerator Manager" service.
