This hotfix can only be applied to Compliance Accelerator 2007 SP5, Build 5359

What issue does this hotfix resolve?
Unable to run searches against external messages when using Department Partitions.  A configuration setting has been modified to enable Internal/External and Freeform recipient searching even if a Department is in a Partition.

Which files does this hotfix replace?
AcceleratorSearch.dll
ComplianceWeb.dll

How to install this hotfix:

Backup the CA Configuration and Customer databases.

1. Stop the Accelerator Manager service.  

2. Copy the following files to a safe location.  Replace the files with updated files.

..\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\AcceleratorSearch.dll
..\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\AcceleratorAdminWeb\Bin\AcceleratorSearch.dll
..\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\Complianceweb\Bin\AcceleratorSearch.dll
..\Enterprise vault Business Accelerator\ComplianceWeb\Bin\ComplianceWeb.dll

3. Execute the 'DBConfigurationUpdate.sql' script against the Compliance Accelerator Configuration Database.

4. Execute the 'DBCustomerUpdate.sql' script against the Compliance Accelerator Customer Database.

5. Start the Accelerator Manager service.

6. Launch the CA application and Click on System Configuration.  Hold CTRL key and click on the System Configuration gray banner to display the hidden settings.  At the Settings for: Search, locate the 'Enable internal/external search for partitioned departments' setting and Click Edit on the right hand side of the setting line.  Then, place a check mark under the value column to enable the feature.  Click OK to the right of the setting line to save the change. Click Close and restart the Accelerator Manager service.

7. On the SQL server, open tblconfig table from the Customer Database and confirm the key 'Enable internal/external search for partitioned departments' is set to 1.

How to uninstall this hotfix:

1.  Stop the Accelerator Manager service.

2.  Replace the updated files with the original files.

3.  Restore the Configuration and Customer databases.

4.  Start the Accelerator Manager service.

Note:  This issue has been addressed as part of the following release:

Compliance Accelerator 2007 Service Pack 6 (SP6)
