The Backup Exec System Recovery (BESR) service terminates unexpectedly at random intervals.

Faulting application VProSvc.exe, version
Solution
The Backup Exec System Recovery service (VProSvc.exe)
terminates at random intervals. Depending on when this occurs, it could affect
scheduled backups and cause them to fail or hang.
The following errors are seen in the application and system event logs (Figures 1 & 2):

Workaround:
Create a scheduled task that stops and restarts the BESR service (VProSvc.exe) just before the scheduled backups start.

This issue is currently under investigation by Symantec Corporation. Pending the outcome of the investigation, this issue may be resolved by way of a patch or hotfix in current or future revisions of the software. However, this particular issue is not currently scheduled for any release.
